In June of this year, we decided to extend our portfolio of products by launching a brand-new division of our company – CactuX Phantoms<\/span><\/strong><\/span>. CactuX Phantoms follows up the long-term expertise and close cooperation with CT manufacturers at CTLAB<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>(CEITEC BUT<\/a><\/strong><\/span>) and is focused on development and manufacturing of dedicated calibration phantoms for metrological characterization and calibration, CT data quality enhancement and testing of nano and \u00b5CT systems. In a leading role of CactuX Phantoms we would like to introduce Jakub \u0160alplachta, whose primary goal will be further development of such tools and their inclusion in the company\u2019s portfolio.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cactux Phantoms recently introduced a portfolio divided into 2 lines \u2013 the Spirit series<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and Shadow series<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, which deviate in its focus. The aim of the Spirit series is to provide customers tools for metrological characterization and calibration of their CT devices. Namely the Voxel-spirit is a unique and certified CT phantom developed for nanoCT applications that allows for voxel size calibration even for Field of Views (FOV) below one millimetre. Another product in these Spirit series is the Resolution spirit, which is a set of universal CT phantoms suitable for both nanoCT and microCT systems that allows for precise spatial resolution estimation according to ASTM E1695-95 standard. Both those phantoms together serve for metrological characterization of the true spirit of any CT scanner. On the contrary, rather than characterization, the aim of Shadow series is to develop tools such as R1-Shadow, that would allow to reduce limits of current CT technology. R1-Shadow is an advanced sample\u2019s holder for both nanoCT and microCT applications, that was specifically developed to allow for correction of CT system’s geometrical misalignment and implementation of advanced CT such as Dual-Energy CT or 4D CT.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
