CactuX is developing and producing addons for industrial and laboratory X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) systems and offers the services of CT expertise.
CactuX
Based in Brno, Czech Republic, CactuX was founded by a team of experienced researchers with long-standing expertise in X-ray micro- and nano-computed tomography (CT). Our focus is on developing, producing, and selling innovative accessories for industrial micro and nano CT systems.
With a strong emphasis on research and development, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in our industry.

Tomáš Zikmund
Assoc. Prof. Tomas Zikmund is a co-founder of CactuX and current leader of the Computed Tomography (CT) laboratory on CEITEC VUT. He builds expertise in Computed Tomography (CT) analysis in academic and industry settings. His research concentrates on the utilization of CT in material engineering, biology, and medicine.
During his career, he made significant advancements in the CT field in the Czech Republic, and his work gained international recognition. In CactuX, he is responsible for R&D direction and strategy.

Jozef Kaiser
Prof. Jozef Kaiser is a co-founder of CactuX and current leader of the Advanced Instrumentation and Methods for Materials Characterization Group at CEITEC (VUT). His main research fields are Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) and X-ray computed tomography (CT).
Besides his scientific achievements, which include more than 256 highly-cited articles, he significantly focuses on the technology transfer of applied science results into the industry. He established numerous effective collaborations of his research group with industrial partners internationally. In CactuX, he also ensures technology transfer and effective partnerships with academia.

Martin Zadražil
Martin Zadražil is a former COO and member of the board of directors of one of the major companies in electron microscopy, Tescan and later Tescan Orsay Holding. He has a strong technological background and held numerous positions, from R&D leader to General Director. Moreover, his expertise lies in building and scaling the business from a small local startup to a global company.
Nowadays, he actively contributes to the industry by offering his vast experience to emerging technology startups as a mentor and consultant at the South Moravian Innovation Centre (JIC). In CactuX, he also provides valuable advice, focusing on business development.
